Thoughtfully Bred Jersey Cattle for the Future
At Sunrise Jerseys, we believe a strong dairy starts with exceptional cattle.
Based in Southwest Kansas, our Jersey cattle breeding program is rooted in generations of dairy knowledge and guided by a clear purpose: developing quality Jersey dairy cattle with sound structure, productive potential, longevity, and genetics that can strengthen the next generation.
Every breeding decision is made with intention, looking beyond the next calf toward the long-term strength of our herd and the future of Jersey dairy genetics.
What Makes Our Jersey Cattle Different
Great dairy cattle are the result of thoughtful selection.

We value the phenotype of a high-quality Jersey dairy cow, but appearance is only part of the equation. We look at the whole animal and the genetics behind her, making breeding decisions with long-term productivity, functionality, and herd improvement in mind.
Our goal isn't simply to produce more cattle. It's to continually build a stronger, more consistent Jersey herd and preserve dairy genetics worth passing forward.
Dairy Strength
Jersey cattle with the structure, capacity, and dairy character to support productive lives.
Honest Genetics
Sound feet and legs, strong mammary systems, and balanced structure that contribute to longevity and everyday function.
Production Potential
Dairy cattle genetics selected with the working dairy in mind, balancing quality with the ability to perform.
What We Breed For
Everything we do at Sunrise Jerseys comes back to the same goal, whether we're caring for cattle, bottling dairy products, or sharing what we've learned.
Jersey Genetics With a Purpose
For us, dairy cattle genetics are not about chasing numbers for the sake of numbers. They are a tool for building better cattle.
Pedigree, phenotype, performance, and long-term goals all play a role in our breeding decisions. We approach each mating intentionally, considering both what an individual Jersey cow brings to the herd today and what she has the potential to contribute to future generations.
That same philosophy carries into the cattle we offer to other breeders, dairy farms, and families building herds of their own. When an animal leaves Sunrise Jerseys, we want her to represent the quality, honesty, and careful decision-making behind our breeding program.
