Sunrise Jerseys is a family-owned Jersey dairy and micro-dairy located in Ulysses, Kansas, built on generations of dairy roots and a belief that family farming still has a place in the future.

We're the Ford family, and Sunrise Jerseys is where our history in agriculture meets what we're building today: exceptional Jersey cattle, honest local food, and practical guidance for others who feel called to build something of their own.

our story
Dairy Has Always Been Part of the Story.
Sunrise Jerseys may be a new chapter for our family, but dairy farming isn’t.
Brittany grew up on her family’s Wisconsin dairy farm, where her connection to Jerseys began at just three years old with her first calf, Jenny. She showed Jerseys through 4-H, milked cows on neighboring farms, and carried that foundation with her even through a 17-year career in corporate healthcare.
Brandon’s background grew from a love of competitive livestock showing and fitting. He worked with Brittany’s family through the Grant County 4-H dairy project and went on to successfully exhibit his own registered Jersey. That experience shaped a goal he still holds today: breeding and exhibiting Jersey cattle at the highest level, including World Dairy Expo.
In March 2026, they took a leap of faith and took over her parents’ small herd, creating Sunrise Jerseys in Southwest Kansas. Today, their shared experience shapes a farm focused on quality Jersey genetics, local food, education, and keeping family dairy farming alive for another generation.

To keep the legacy of family dairy farming alive through honest food, honest genetics, and honest guidance, so that being a farmer, and becoming one, both remain within reach.
